Kubla Cubed User Manual
BIM stands for Building Information Modelling and is intended to make the construction process more efficient by recording data in regard to a buildings construction and ongoing maintenance. An effort is also underway to establish open standards so widespread sharing of this data is possible between stake holders. Kubla Cubed cannot export directly to a BIM format (e.g IFC) however the topography and positional data produced in Kubla Cubed can be exported and then imported into those systems.
Machine Control systems consist of hardware and software that is installed on earthmoving equipment that can give the operator a visual on where to excavate, this can be both 2D and in 3D. Like BIM Kubla Cubed cannot export directly to the propriety formats used on the systems of various manufacturers. However it can export data which can then be imported into the software provided by the manufacturers for making machine control files.
