No software is a substitute for engineering knowledge and judgement. Kubla Ports is designed to make it easier and quicker for a qualified and experienced professional to develop design options. The user is assumed to understand the relevant design guidelines described in the Technical Manual. They should familiarise themselves with how the software works by reading the Technical Manual, and apply their experience to the design process, and never blindly accept the designs that the software produces.
